Investing in the future of renewable energy

Porelle has invested in renewable energy to power our manufacturing processes and to reduce our carbon footprint:

  • 1.5 mW Wind turbine
  • 1.4 mW Solar photo voltaic array

All of the electricity used to manufacture Porelle membranes comes from renewable technologies. Excess electric production is exported to the national grid, providing a positive impact to the wider community and our carbon footprint.

Porelle has also invested in manufacturing processes to reduce our impact on the environment by:

  • Ensuring materials used on site are recovered and reused
  • Doubled the recycling of non hazardous materials in the last 5 years
  • Manufacturing membranes using recycled material
  • Oekotex compliance

Low Carbon Transport & Logistics

The Porelle policy is to always use shipping containers that are part filled by other companies, to use space efficiently.

All deliveries are via external logistics companies that utilise back hauls and part loads. By efficient and economic use of space and vehicle fuel, Porelle increases it’s carbon efficiency.
