Porelle Acoustic Vents for Mobile Devices

Porelle Acoustic Vents provide excellent waterproof venting properties for enclosed products, such as mobile phones, headphones and microphones. Porelle Acoustic Vents equalise pressure from inside an enclosed device to the atmosphere, minimising acoustic distortion, whilst protecting the equipment from water, dust and sand ingress.

High Waterproof Performance

Meets IP (Ingress Protection) ratings up to IP67, IP68, IPX7 & IPx8. Example IP68, 6 refers to dust tight for 8 hours, 8 resists immersion under water of 1.5m for 30 mins. IPX ratings refer to the same test but for waterproofness only. Porelle Acoustic Vents exceed requirements of IPx8 and IP68 and have been tested at 3 metres water depth for 30 minutes without leakage.

Superior Sound Quality vs ePTFE

Porelle Acoustic Vents achieve a higher quality sound transmission compared to ePTFE acoustic vents. Between 250hz - 4Khz they provide an insertion loss of less than 1 decibel. This has been tested and verified by independent experts, the graphs below details the reduced sound loss vs ePTFE.

Balance Air Pressure

Acoustic vents are used to balance the air pressure inside an enclosure with the atmosphere to prevent pressure build up which could damage seals.
